Agro-Urdiense is a family winery with roots in Villanueva de Ávila, being the fifth generation of winegrowers, with a project based on a model that has as objectives and values respect for nature and the expression of the uniqueness of the Garnacha grape and the land. It aims to maintain artisanal production methods and a relentless pursuit of product quality offered by vineyards with granite soils and higher rainfall, planted at an altitude of almost 1070 m in the Sierra de Gredos and more than 80 years ago, all of them worked manually and fertilized with organic matter.
An spectacular Garnacha, bright ruby in color, with citrus aromas of grapefruit and rockrose, underpinned by dark fruit, wild berries, and rose petals. The aging in French oak barrels is subtly evident. On the palate, ripe fruit persists, providing roundness and weight, while the acidity characteristic of high-altitude Garnacha lends length and persistence, making it fabulously refreshing and offering just the right amount of fruit intensity. Again, the subtle presence of oak aging suggests excellent aging potential. A long finish, bursting with red fruit and a hint of undergrowth.
Pair it with roasted pork, chicken, spicy chorizo dishes, Spanish tapas,
Region: Castilla y León, Spain
Grape: 100% Garnacha
Vintage: 2022
750 ml
