Lampyres - Harvest Moon Rouge
Notes from winemaker: From vines age of 6 years old for Grenache Noir and 25 years old for Mourvèdre. The terroir, is an ancient riverbed of clay soils covered with stones. Harvested by hand. In vinification, the Grenache was destemmed and the Mourvèdre done whole-cluster; both were co-fermented in a fiberglass tank on skins for ten days, then pressed off and aged in inox for three months before bottling. Unfined, unfiltered.
The result is a light, chillable fruity wine with delicious notes of cherry, raspberry, prune, a touch of black pepper and herbs. The perfect companion to see the sunset, but also pairs well with smokey meats, vegetable dishes and cheese board.
Region: Roussillon, France
Grape: 50% Grenache Noir, 50% Mourvèdre
Vintage: 2023
