From winemaker Ismael Gozalo, a fifth generation winegrower and winemaker from Nieva, a village in the province of Segovia, who’s known for ‘the wizard of Verdejo’. This Verdejo Pét-Nat is unlike anything else we’ve tasted, made from vines of more than 100 yrs old. It’s a light, cloudy yellow color on the glass. Delicious aromas of pear an citrus fruits. The bubbles seem to explode giving a sensation of happiness. The flavors blend among citrus fruits, yellow apples, toasted bread with a well balanced acidity that keeps asking for more.
The label is a homage to both Ismael's home town of Nieva (and the famous aqueduct in Segovia) with New York (and the Brooklyn Bridge). An idea that came about in the city of NY with importer and winemaker.
Pair it with grilled fish, ceviche, fried calamari, garlic fries, goat cheese or just because you want share delicious bubbles.
