From the producer: A fresh and lively red that is in the winemaker's own words "meant to be served well-chilled and with an open mind". It is mostly Dornfelder though there is some Zweigelt and a secret mix of white varieties blended in. It has low tannins, high colour, low alcohol and high drinkability. Zero sulfur added, unfined and unfiltered.
The name means “color-enhancer” in Czech (teinturier in French), as Dornfelder is one of the red grapes that also has red pulp and hence gives wines of intense ruby-violet hue, used sometimes in blends to deepen the color.
This wine is a bit floral, with lots of fruit flavors of cherry, plum and blackberry; and a good velvety texture.
