Petracavallo - Primitivo Puglia IGP
Petracavallo is a father and son operation based in Mottola, Puglia. Vito and his father, Peppino, work together on the farm of San Francesco that is full of historical lore. From stories of St. Francis’ visit in 1220, to an almost Hollywood storyline of brigandry and ransom in the 1860s, the land was finally split between the Leogrande brothers in 1928 and passed down between only three families who manage it to this day. With Peppino’s traditional winemaking experience and wisdom, to Vito’s youthful innovation, this collaboration is truly a celebration of the earth. With pride, these two are offering thoughtful, exciting wines showcasing their love for the land. They only produce a few hundred bottles of each wine, further proving their commitment to outstanding product.
