Podere Casaccia Sine Felle Vermouth Rosso is made with a base wine of Malvasia Nera and Canaiolo (indigenous Tuscan red grapes) farmed biodynamically in the hills of Scandicci, just outside Florence. Then it is fortified with an alcoholic infusion of herbs and spices following a traditional Piedmontese recipe with no added sugar or caramel, unfiltered with minimal intervention.
A dry vermouth that is complex and aromatic, with dried herbs, citrus peel, dark cherry on the nose. On the palate the bitterness of the botanicals begin to showoff with the mix of red fruits, earthy and spicy notes taking you to beautiful Tuscany.
Great on the rocks and in cocktails (Negroni) and once the sipping begins, one bottle will get short rather quickly.
