Poderi Cellario - Il Barrusco Vino Rosso Frizzante

$27.00
Only 2 left in stock

From winemakers Fausto and Cinzia Cellario, Il Barrusco (translates to something like 'rough and tumble') is a blend of Neretta (that rare native Piedmont variety prized for it's dark color and spicy tannins), Barbera and Dolcetto. Primary fermentation in stainless steel before refermentation in bottle. No sulfur added and no disgorgement.

The result is a Frizzante (sparkling) that is light, dry with blueberries and spicy notes, and a delicious vibrant acidy that keeps wanting for a second glass.

Pair it with pizza, lasagna, Italian meatballs, prosciutto and cheese.

Region: Piedmont, Italy

Grape: Neretta, Barbera, Dolcetto

Vintage: 2022
