Slow Dance - Little Skipper Sweet Wine
The story behind this wine, told by the winemaker: After making wine for 4 years or so, it dawned on me that while my 100 year old grandmother would try my wines, all she really wanted to drink was Port. And for that matter just CVS purchased port. It was at this moment I had to intervene. The grapes were destemmed and macerated until about 8 brix. At this moment I pressed and fortified the wine with brandy from Absentee winery. With nothing but regular topping the wine has been in barrel for just over two years. It’s not too strong and not too sweet.
What is packed inside this cute little bottle, we find it to be so deliciously perfect for anyone that loves dessert wines. This blend offers jammy red fruit flavors with hints of honey and light spices.
