Vigna Lenuzza - Pinot Grigio Friuli Colli Orientali DOP
Notes from importer: Vigna Lenuzza is located in Prepotto, a charming village of 750 people in Friuli’s Colli Orientali. Just 100 meters from the Slovenian border and 25 miles from the Adriatic Sea, the unique microclimate and Ponca soil—rich in marl, clay, and limestone—impart remarkable minerality and freshness to their wines. These wines are technical in terms of production but wildly expressive in character.
Founded in 1954 by Daniele’s grandfather, Silvano Pasqualini, the winery has been passed down to Daniele Lenuzza, the third-generation winemaker who has continued the family legacy since 2013. The estate spans 8.5 hectares of certified organic vineyards, where Daniele and his wife, Tanika, create a contemporary take on Friuli wines, focusing on indigenous varietals and using sustainable, organic practices to craft wines that express the true essence of Prepotto.
This is a simple but distinct Pinot Grigio that will please any crowd. Light-to-medium body with citrus aromas and flavors of green apple, pear, crips, fresh and ready to drink on its own, with food and on any occasion.
