ZaZaZa -'Pomodoro Party'- Sangiovese by Martoccia

$28.00

Importer’s notes: On a chain of hills between Siena to the north and Monte Amiatato to the south lies the medieval town of Montalcino, famous for Brunello di Montalcino. The Brunelli family has called this place home for generations. After a brief stint in the city in the 1960s, following hard times in the Italian agricultural sector, Mauro Brunelli and Anna Savini returned to their ancestral home and farm. With just three hectares of farm, they laid the foundation for wine production. In the 1990s, under the guidance of their son Luca, the family produced their first wines.

From the red clay hills of Montalcino, where sunlight lingers and evenings stretch into song, comes a Sangiovese that tastes like the heartbeat of Tuscany itself.

Harvested late in September and fermented on its skins for nearly three weeks, this wine finds its depth in patience. Ruby red and radiant, it opens with wild cherry, red plum, and a breath of fresh herbs—earthy, honest, and alive. The texture is supple, the acidity bright, the finish like the memory of laughter after dinner.

Made for slow meals, easy company, and second helpings, Martoccia’s Sangiovese isn’t just a wine; it’s a return to the table — simple, soulful, and entirely without pretense.
